Dyson DC7 is noisy and won't suck?

I had a builder in a few weeks ago, and I think he vacced up some electric wire. My Dyson is now making a loud noise when I switch it on and won't suck. Is there any way I can strip it down to get at the wire without having to call an engineer out. My house is getting dusty. Help!!

Dysonmedic.com will show you how...

When a vacuum cleaner is blocked the motor has no air to move and will run faster (off-load) and the noise will increase in volume and pitch.

The worst case situation is where he might have sucked up wet plaster or cement.

Good luck...
