Finally removed filter and cleaned out, but when put back it is now leaking and whatever I do can't turn the cap any further to tighten.

How many turns does the filter take?
I can do 1/4 turn and it won't budge any more.

take off the lower front kick panel and on the bottom right is a screw in filter. unscrew by turning anti-clockwise and expect water to leak out. once fully unscrewed, pull out the filter and clean.
