how can i fix dishwasher hotpoint DWF50S?

My dishwasher runs a pre-wash (cold) and then stops with the eco and fast lights flashing. how can i fix this

I also have this problem, and have noticed over the last couple of months lots of people do too, however i have not seen a answer on this site to sort it.

Have you managed to fix it, if so. What have you done? because it's driving me mad!!
