cannot unscrew pump cover?

am unable to unscrew pump cover on bosch washing machine - it turns 1/4 turn but will not pull out

you will have to remove the from panel to get to the pump. now remove the rubber hoses of the pump ,remove the pump from the machine and look inside the holes and you will find all sorts of things jammed in there..........
