replacing sparks?

I am replaceing the spark plugs in a nissan micra k12 how deep down is the plug holes any advice how to put them in without cross threading the plugs the car is 2003 new shape

I use a 9 inch piece of garden hosepipe and make sure that the pipe holds the new plug tightly on the ceramic covering. By holding the hosepipe around the top it allows you to offer the plug to the hole and gently turn it until it seats well without cross-threading.

I have a tame mobile mechanic called Murat and he does it for me while I wait. All for £20.
Hope this helps.

I use a magnetic plug spanner supplied by Draper tools. This is 3/8" drive and holds the new plugs in centrally as you turn them in by hand, using a 6" extension bar. The chances of cross threading are really very slight.
