How can I fix My Fiat Punto overheat?

After a 30 mile run all the water blew out of the cars system via the expansion tank.Re filled and left ticking over for a while -no leaks found or water in oil.Not happoned since but am wary of going far from home!

my fiat punto 55s had an over heating problem where the fan plugs in there is a plug that screws in if that blows the fan wont kick in to cool the engine its worth a look at cost about £6.50

Sounds like the cooling system controller is broken. You can also put a powerful seal on cap so the coolant don't come out.
I normally charge for connecting the diagnostic scanner in as routine as the first stage of repairs with my customers.

Hope this helps

Alas, yet another example of the Punto head gasket about to blow, I'm afraid....chances are the problem won't show on tickover but a fast run will show that there is an issue here.
