my machine stops mid cycle and gives a message E20?

My machine stops mid cycle and gives a message E20 and has to be moved on in order for the wash to be completed. This happens several times during any one cycle. How can this be avoided

check the manual for the error code but its usually the filter is blocked and needs unblocking, cleaning. There is a small black tube with a white plunger behind a rectangle panel bottom right hand side front of the machine you have to unscrew that allows you to empty this resdual water first that can be plced in a jug so the water doesnt leak all over the floor. The filter has to be unscrewed also behind the same small panel bottom right hand side at the front of the machine. Its ususally full of hair, paper, sweet wrappers if you have kids and hair clips in my house. Be aware tho when you unscrew it there is usually a esidue of water that will pour out so make sure you have some big towels to mop it up. That should sort the problem out.
