I keep getting fault 90 on my Miele oven. can someone tell what the fault is and how to remindy this.

It is an Oxygen sensor fault, but they have to replace that sensor, plus an electronic part plus maybe another electronic part. It is a well known fault , so despite being out of warranty miele usually comes to the party with free replacement parts (quite expensive) if you pay for the labour. The user programs and sensor display will also be replaced to repair this so copy down your precious settings in the user programs. Hope this helps. The loacal experts are very helpful, but Miele prefers to deal with repair firms rather than customers, which i found a little off-putting i must admit.

have the same problem...miele changed an electronic chip in the door under waranty 5 years ago and the technician said if it happens again they would change the oven...with the new chip it was good for close to two years...for the past year however...it has returned...only worse....originally it used to happen on new years day every year...now the past few months it happens every 24 hr period...i shut down the electrical panel breaker and it restarts the oven...but this is not a solution...miele said they will not change the oven and since it's off waranty, they want 50 euros just to visit and look at it....help!

Had the same problem twice now over a four year period, both covered by warranty and repaired no problem, however if it happens again in another two years the oven will be out of warranty!! I have been told that as the fault is electronic that if you switch the oven off and then back on it will return to default and allow you access to the settings menu, I was then advised to change the settings from sensor to temperature and the oven should then work. Yet to try it though.

ive got the same problem, turning it off at the mains solves it until you use it again but its well out of warranty, what exactly is the fault?

yep we have had the same issue it's a known fault and they (miele) came out and fixed it, they told us the replacement part would fix the fault for good, however it has gone again some 13 months after they fixed it. Not happy with this but the only thing i can say is that we extended the warranty. You don't expect to have a Miele breakdown..
