how can i fix my electric start on yamaha aerox 50 57 plate?

my electris start doesnt work on my yamaha 50 cc aerox 57 plate. I push the button and theres just nothing no noise or anything. the battery is fine, im going to try cleaning the spark plug, but any other ideas would be greatly thankful

i have the same thing with my yahama aerox brake lights work but there no power for the eletric start

If not a flat battery then check to see if you have brake lights when the levers are pulled if not then it may well be the brake switches at the hand levers as the Yamaha aerox has a safe start system that only allows the electric start to operate when the brakes are pulled on, if all is ok there then I would replace the starter solinoid and main fuse if blown also check wires and connections to starter itself.

When you press the start button, this operates a heavy duty switch called a solenoid which in turn makes the starter motor spin. Find the solenoid by tracing the battery positive lead (the thicker one) down to it, and check to see if any of the other connections have come off or are loose.
