Whirlpool 20RBD4 fridge part not getting cold enough?

Hi

I have a Whirlpool 20RBD4 American style fridge/freezer, less than 2 years old. The freezer is fine. The fridge however is not getting cold enough. When I adjust the slider for the meat/veg drawer, the vent shows signs that the air is coming through. The 6th Sense light is on permanent. I've turned the fridge side down to 2 degrees, but it doesn't appear to be getting any colder. I think it may have been like for a while, due to milk going off, but is more noticeable now the weather is warmer. Is there something else I can check or do I need an engineer? Any help much appreciated

Hi, as I posted exactly the same issue just recently I can at least share this with you.... despite Whirpool 6th sense claims, it appears the thing doesn't even tell you the fridge is to hot ! I found that the cool air from the freezer side is funnelled through into the fridge, that's it.... that's how it works.... the device that goes wrong (but it could also be the thermostat) is the motorised damper fitted behind the top, left hand side of the fridge, unscrew two screws and remove some polystyrene parts to see it.... mine is stuck closed, so no cold air can get into the fridge. I released it by removing the corresponding parts top right in the freezer side (it just clips in) now I have a hole the fridge can be see to get cold again.... this part cost £95 according to the Whirpool Parts website ??? Don't leave this hole unblocked, the fridge will freeze up after a few hours...... I am reluntant to buy something when I don't know its the problem 100%.... was hoping someone could tell me if there was a diagnostic that would open / shut this gate or if its a thermostat.....BTW the connector to this is probably mains ! so be careful..... regards, Terry
