whats wrong with my central locking?

my golf 1993 golf mk3 has developed a sudden problem,i can only lock the drivers doors,were as ican fully lock the vehicle from the passenger side.there is no sound from the pump in the boot when locking from the drivers side

it may be a wire has come loose. take off drivers door panel and check all connections.good luck.
