how do i fix the passenger seat on my peugot 206?

the passenger seat on my peugot 206 is not staying in position its either all the way forward or all the way back and wont sit in the right position

Often a new seat is the only proper answer. Common fault I'm afraid. You can drill and put a bolt through to keep it in one position but you'll then have no adjustment.
