Why is my Elna 3005 sewing machine making graunching noises?

When I sew a normal stitch my Elna makes intermittent graunching noises as if something is stopping the motor from running freely. If I run it very slowly I can almost stop it, but if I speed up it gets bad. The stitching is fine and the bobbin area is free of lint. I have checked the tensions and they seem fine too. I do not know if I have to oil the machine. I can't find any advice on this in the manual. Has anyone got any advice?

Thank you for your answer Ken.
How do I get to these parts? There don't seem to be any instructions for oiling the machine and I am not keen to take the machine apart with out instruction. The noise comes from inside the main part of the machine. My old Bernina had oiling points.

Hello Alfonso,
You need to oil all moving parts and you may need to put some grease on the gears if you can get to them.
