I have inherited the above phone at work, but I can't change any of the base settings as I do not have the pin, and the previous owner is not available to ask.

The menu option to reset the base is protected by the base pin.

Any idea how to reset it without knowing the pin? As usual, the manual does not have the answer!

Default pin code is 0000

Hidden away on page 76 of the manual. I had the same problem.
