i have a renault megane coupe, year 2000. Sometimes it wont start and then it will cut in and go. Lately it has stopped all together. Thought it might be the crank shaft sensor, but dont want to waste money if its not that. Any ideas!

i would look at the starter first.may have a poor ground connection.could also be poor battery connection.when vehicle doesnt start turn lights on and and see if they are bright.if so you have ruled out battery and this would tell me to look at starter connections.also could be starter solenoid.have someone tap on starter while trying to start vehicle.dave
