renault laguna 99 on a v reg?

hi, when i turn on my sidelights the headlamps come on aswell i have changed the indicator stalk but it`s still the same, how ever when i remove the fuse for the l/h sidelights the headlamp switch works as normal, any ideas welcomed thanks.

Check the bulbs are the the correct ones and are properly fitted.
Make sure all the earths are secure and check the wiring for short circuit.
