I have been running the electrics on my caravan with a generator, but the power spiked and the Zig charger failed. The van is a 1994 model and I cannot find a new X3. I have tried replacing the fuse in the unit but it still blows .
I have been trying it on mains 240volt I should say , I have tried 3 fuses and they all blow. I am loathe to pay over £100 for a unit. When it failed I charged the battery with an external charger. Any ideas please?
it can,but before you find someone to repair it, check the toggle switch. we could have spent a lot of money having it repaired. its working fine now. we leave switch 'on' all the time.

i found a person on ebay who repairs all caravan power units
very helpful and friendly person who knows what he is doing

Thankyou very much for responding. We have had to buy a new unit, very expensive, I phoned Zig and they told me that the X3 has been superceded by the X70 now. We needed it for sending to Eire this week, very rough caravanning, hence the generator problem. We will fit a surge protector on the new wiring and keep our fingers crossed ! Thanks again.
