the engine starts and revs normal, but the bike wont move.its as if the chain has come off but obviously it hasnt because it hasnt got one. ta

Your right that the scoot doesn't have a chain but it does have a rubber drivebelt. If your bike has no drive then I suggest you take the kickstart casing off & have a look to see if the belt has snapped. You will see two big pulleys which it spins around & if it's not doing this then replace it.
