My nintendo DS does not charge, whenever i try to turn it on the light it comes on but the screen does not light up at first i thought it was the charger but it does not help.What should i do?

When the light comes on, does it come on fully? When you start a DS, the green light flickers slightly for a few seconds and then makes a quiet noise and comes on. Does yours do this? If not, its probably a connection problem, which would explain the problems with charging.
