How can I fix my McCulloch MAC160S chainsaw?

I just awakened my sleeping saw from storage. I put her asleep after all the proper storage procedures some ten years ago. Now, I cannot pull-start the cord more than an inch or so and the result is a weak cough response...why am I not able to pull the cord more easily and further out so that it gets the kick it needs to start???

My 32cc chainsaw starts after priming but does not stay running. I replaced all fuel lines and checked the diaphram assy. but it does not seem to pull fuel from the main line only the primer. Any ideas?

2 possibilities....either the engine is full of fuel or oil etc and has a hydraulic lock, or the recoil mechanism itself has jammed. Take the recoil unit off from the saw and see if the motor will turn by hand, and likewise the pull cord system.
