zanussi tc481 conenser dryer starting problem?

Drum not turning - dryer started to fail to start- manually moving the drum did work but now will not function, when reverse action changes.Smell of burning does occur.Belt drive is perfect. Help please.!!

there is a capacitor mounted near the motor.this gives the motor the kick to start it.it will be weak and need changing for a new one.common issue
