how easy is it to change a clutch on a rover metro 1.1?
im not a mechanic but i have worked on cars before is this something i can do?

I changed one on a rover metro 1.3.It really is quite easy (i'm no mechanic)There's a clip on the bottom clutch lever, make sure you take it off and retain it.Unclip it from the pedal , pull it through, take off the spring clip.Take it all off.The new clutch cable i had was pre set,so put it through to the pedal and attach, connect at the clutch lever and the spring clip is marked.Take your time i'm sure you can do it.Hope this is not too vague.

I know what you mean, i refuse to take my car to a garage cause it comes back with more problems then before!!!!!!
If you've got a haynes manual just move step by step and start friday and spend all weekend doing it, plus get a buddy to help cause it's much quicker. I had to change my gear box a couple of months ago cause the diff blew and it ended up being a 4 day job cause i needed a oil seal on sunday when no one was open, so at least if you take it apart friday you still
have sat to get parts ! plus even if it takes you longer then you think your still learning something that you can do next time ! x
