how can i fix my electric dryer?

i bought the following dryer from Home Depot and moved to Nigeria with the equipment - Admiral®\r\n6.5 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer, Model AED4475TQ, store SKU 750491, Internet/Catalog SKU 100604046 -however, it has not worked because nothing happened after it was connected to a 15 amp socket.

do i need add or modify anything before it can work in a 220-240v environment?

thank you.

There will be a sticker somewhere on the dryer that will tell you what voltage it is designed to work on, and that is the voltage that you must supply for the thing to work at all. A typical UK sticker will say 240v, 50 Hz.
