corroded connection?

cheers john, did you have to replace the fuel pump or were you able to just have the corroded wiring replaced????

As Nigel says...I took the relay out, and squeezed the connectors together a bit to make a better contact. Its been fine since...the punter is collecting it tomorrow so I hope its still ok! I can't remember ever replacing a fuel pump so maybe I've just been lucky!

Hi, before replacing the fuel pump I would check the relay in the box under the bonnet as they are prone to getting waterlogged, the connector for the fuel pump is inside the car so corrosion is unlikely. The other very common failing on your car is the coil pack and would give the same symptoms
