Mine has done the same thing. But the wires are red and it seems to have continuity.

Hello,

Since your dryer was running prior to shutting off, and if it still won't start up, I would check to see if the thermal fuse is blown. If this is blown, your going to have to check your exhaust vent out for clogged lint. Pop up the top panel with a putty knife (there are 2 clips) and the thermal fuse is at the top.
