I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. An orange light that looks like an engine ?

is coming on periodically. What does it mean and what should I do?
LCT, July 2009
This is the engine management light, or more correctly the MIL (malfunction indicator lamp). The car has developed a fault in either its fuel, ignition or exhaust systems, and this fault is logged as a 4 digit code in the cars on board computer. This code can be read, and a cure advised, by any garage with suitable diagnostic equipment...and most have these days.
