Resetting my cobra car alarm??

Resetting my cobra car alarm??
I have a basic cobra alarm it worked great but I recently had my transmission Replaced and now my alarm does not come on .
I installed new batterys the light on the remote comes on but there is no response through my alarm no blinking lights or sounds How can I resolve this issue?????

try pressing BOTH buttons on the remote close to the car (there is a little red LED between the buttons that flashes and then comes on all the time) for 10 secs then release both and then press the large button only - it should have reset and now be OK
