check there is not a big lip on outside edges of discs. checked there are no areas of corrosion on surfaces of disc. check surfaces do not have big grooves in them. check the surfaces are not pitted. check they are not warped by driving fast and pressing brakes gently and progressively (no vibration through brake pedal or steering wheel) check they are not too thin. check there are no major cracks on surfaces. check they are not uneven on surface. erm........
