my dryer has packed up, the drum still turns, but there is no heat. someone sugested that i may need to 'reset' the dryer, but i've opened the top and can't find a switch. maybe i'm looking for the wrong thing? or in the wrong place? advice would be much appreciated

HI MINE WAS JUST THE SAME HAD tO BUY A NEW ELEMENT AT THE BACK OF YOUR DRYER AT THE BOTTOM ITS LIKE A BOOT TURN ELECTRIC OFF UNSCREW THE BOOT COVER AND CHECK THE ELEMENT THERE IS 2 SCREWS UNDO AND IT IS PLUGED IN UNPLUG WHITE BLACK RED AND YELLOW AND LOOK TO SEE WETHER THE WIRE AS BURNT OUT OR BROKE IF IT HAS YOU WILL NEED A NEW ONE about 25 2 30 pounds hope this helps
