Renault Laguna will not start?

Hi,

I have being having probs with my heating it my laguna. i tried to take the stopper out of the heater matrix pipes and also take the matrix feed pipes at the bulkhead out. During this, I noticed that some water had been leaking out of the stopper.
I could not get the feed pipes off. I had the car running and then switched it off. I then went to try again with the feed pipes. When I went to turn the engine on again, no joy, Just a clicking noise. Have tried the batter and hitting starter motor. ANy ideas on what this could be? If water damage, where is the water likely to run to. Ignition? Starter solenoid? for example.

Sounds like starter or solenoid problem and exacerbating the heater fault by giving you another.

Try shoving it in 2nd and with ignition off rock the car backwards and forwards if you then are able to start the car you have starter problems. if it's the solinoid and the starter is not jammed then you still have to change the starter but check first as I'm told on some starters you can change just the solenoid.
