Thanks BaldyJoe! I have checked the pump blades and nothing seems to be restricting them from turning and there is nothing blocking the pipes under the sink. Tried running the cycle again and it still stops at 18 mins to go - the pump blades are turning but the water doesn't shift from the bottom of the machine - and the clock stops counting....

Is it likely to be a blockage deeper in the machine that we could access? Or is it likely to need a new part / or be an electrical part problem? Wondering whether will be cheaper to call someone out - or get a new machine (we don't have it insured).

if the pump is turning then it should pump out did u put the cover back on the pump .......also remove the drain hose under the sink and run it into a bucket and see if it drains the hose could be blocked behind the machine if there is a kink in the drain hose......so pull out the machine and run the drain hose into a bucket and see what happens.........hope this works
