how to mend a corrupted eeprom on samsung laptop X20?

My laptop has completely stopped working, that is, when I switch it on, it switches on but nothing happens.
I think that the eeprom has been corruted.
I would be grateful for your advice on re-setting the eeprom.
I have XP Home OS installed.

Thanks

It is incredibly unlikely that any EPROMs have been corrupted. I have no idea why on earth you would think that. (Unless of course you were told that by: 'the man in the pub'.)

Having said that the fault could really be anything and it from the information given it isn't even possible to speculate what it may be. You need to just work your way through some diagnostics. You could also see if repair manuals are available from Samsung as they would avoid your having to use "poke 'n hope"..
