how can do i replace my timing chains on a nissan almera?

i have been told i need to replace the timing chains on my 02 reg nissan almera.is it possible to change it myself ?

got my car serviced 2day and the orange engine light was lit on my dash display,was told it was the timing chain and it would take 2 days and 700 euro to change it as the engine had to b stripped.is it possible to change it myself ?

timing chains will only need changing if worn or faulty...do you mean timing belt?
