slight brake problem on my 02 renault scenic fidji 16v?

after ive applied my brakes and released them i get a slightspringy sound of the pedal, what could be the problem?

not really a problem when you apply the brakes the spring stretches when you release the spring pulls the pedal back reach up behind the brake pedal put a smear of grease on the return spring,this will stop it twanging.
