my scenic has knocking noice coming from the front when i turn left any ideas on what it might be and how to fix or reduce the noice

on front wheel drive cars it is normally the cv joint... try putting the car on full lock so that you can see behind the wheel and see if the rubber boot is split, if it is then dirt and grit has almost certainly got in and wrecked the joint, no quick fix if this is the case, just have to get it replaced
