the yellow check light on my 98 micra keeps flashing at me ,had car checked out all is well ,is there any way i can reset this light without having to pay for it

Presumably the car did have a fault at one time, Carol?
Anyway, the light may go away by itself after a while, depending on what the fault was - but you can't reset it yourself without the appropriate diagnostic tool. I charge £40 to do a diagnostic scan - but only £10 to turn the lamp off.
