key card not detecting in reanualt megane, 4 yrs old, takes forever to start, driving me nuts each time, how much to fix and where can it be done, garages here want €200 to replace it, HELP>>

not had bad starting prob,but had card reader problem. got replacement card reader for megane scenic 2 04 plate,put it in but no different ,however found that card put in angled downward from front will work .but my reder is worn and had to hang it loose and tie strapped to hold card in position, later after checking card found it to be loose inside hence needing to be at an angle,a new card reader is dealer part£68 .17p,but card only £60.00.but recoding about £90.00 dealer part only.
