how do I fix a rip in the seat of a pair of Jeans?

the seat of jeans on my boyfriends denim pants...his favorite pair....ripped. the fibers came apart and there is a hole. How do I mend it?

Try opening seam, then zigzag machine stitch frayed edges. Resew seam. OR Put small piece of fabric on back of hole or frayed edge and zigzag machine stitch over it.

There is not really a way to completely fix it to where it would be back how it was before! But I would suggest patching it up! Maybe something funky, it you think he can play it off! Or just find a denim fabric that is as close to his jeans as possible!
