my 6hp briggs and stratton lawn mower(on a chinese chassis) will not come out of gear(self propelled model)the clutch cable seems ok and nothing is visible broken altho i did go over something that made a lot of noise underneath,machine still dries ahead and cuts normally.....help wanted as my grass area is one acre

thanks,i,ve had the machine upside down and still cannot find anything amiss,perhaps i,ve stripped the gears in the box?????

Tip the machine back towards the handles, and see if anything has jammed the clutch lever or cable in the engaged position....all it can be, really.
