Nissan Micra not starting in damp weather?

My Nissan Micra Celebration, (2000, I have had it from new) has a problem.
Sometimes if it has rained, the car won't start at all. The engine is turning over but it just won't fire up. It has been into Nissan twice and they have run diagnostic checks, cleaned the electric cables, new battery, but they cannot find what is wrong with it. Occasionally when this happens the immobiliser light comes on. Can you please help?

Same problem with my 1999 Micra. Don't laugh but I find that 5-10mins with a hairdryer playing around the spark plugs will drive away residual damp and then it starts as usual. Once it's going, no further problems. Spraying well with DW40 also provides additional partial protection.

When you switch the ignition on, listen for a whirring noise coming from the fuel pump, in the tank below the rear seat. This should happen every time you turn the ignition on. If you can't hear the whirr on the next time it doesn't start, ask Nissan to replace the ECCS relay under the bonnet.
