the filter on this machine is located within the black sump hose at the bottom of the tub

If you cannot see a metal door at the bottom on the right hand side, then, at the bottom of the machine, below the door, there is a plastic panel, which runs the full width of the front. This panel simply pulls off, and on the right you will note a circular handle. ensure you have a tray or other item to catch water which will come out of this door when opened AND a towel, as there is always a small spill.
To open, turn the knob/handle anti-clockwise and once you have turned it until it is loose, it will simply pull out of the machine.
You will see that the handle has a small plastic mesh attached which is the filter, and must be cleaned regularly. Once cleaned, just push it back in and turn the knob/handle, clockwise.
Make sure the handle is on the correct thread and does not go on crooked, or you will have water all over your kitchen when you use the machine next.
Good luck.
