How can i fix my renault clio's (rn 1999's) sensor central locking?

We thought that it was just the key's battery at first however we replaced these and it still doesn't work. The key will obviously unlock the door if you use the key manualy, but when pressing the button on the key to open all the doors at once it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I have the same problem and i believe my sensor just above the rear view mirror is water damaged. common fault in clios but have not had a chance to get it fixed. may have to get this checked out.

Replace the central locking module (small circuit board in the interior light housing) and that'll sort it...about £40 from Renault but a scrapped car one will be fine as the decoder is elsewhere on the car.
