cooling fan not coming on automaticcaly?

Engine over heats as fan will not operate automaticaly.
Have tried replacing thermostat without success. As tempory measure have fitted toggle switch and fan works fine with this.
Car is Vectra 1.8 LS 16V
Any suggestions please?

had same problem with a vectra last week check your radiaotor fan switch located on the front lower corner of the radiator timing belt side, always worth removing the multiplug and counting the terminals, to help buy the correct type

you have changed the thermostat thats cool but now you will need to replace the thermostatic switch that is what kicks the fan in when car reaches certain temp go to any auto shop and ask them for one usually around 5 or 6 quid mechanic851atmsn.com
