my till has suddenly stated to print only symbols such as x's and z's and other symbols on the till roll .the display is fine and i have gone through the start up procedure many times and the symobls have not changed .
can anyone please help with this problem

Hi.
This is common.
The print wheels are not turning freely, or the hammer is not striking correctly. Make sure you have a fresh ink roller in it (NEVER re-ink the roller) and try it again. If it still gives trouble, then it is usually not worth repairing the printer. Take it to a dealer and get the printer changed.
