my iwashing machine has been on all day and now when i try to wash my machine keeps coming up test and quickly goes through a test cycle.i have a hotpoint ultima wf840 1400 front loader

I have a hotpoint that does this to going onto test mode, I called hotpoint up once to find out how to take it off test mode, but it was ages ago, but it was something like switch machine off then turn on hold on/off button & start both at the same time for about 10 secs then it will go back to normal, I dont think it tells you this in the instructions, best to write the combination down once you find out as if its anything like mine it will do it again!
