find location of hydraulc oil filter?

I have a JCB backhoe, an older model and I would like to change my hydraulic oil filter. I am new to this tractor type of maintenance and do not know it's location but I have a gut feeling it is on the return line to the tank as it would be on an industrial piece of equipment. Some questions I have are, is it contained in a canister of some sort or is it a screw on type like an automotive filter? Anyway, could some kind soul point me in the right direction.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for that info on filter location and tips for it's removal. I log off this page smarter than when I logged on! If we were ever to meet then I owe you a frosty pint!
Cheers,
Ron

Remove the circular plate on top of the hydraulic tank [left of cab] it is in there. Relieve the pressure first by removing the filler cap.
It is best to replace the gasket as well and not too over tighten as it will leak.
