How do I unstick a glassbowl and a ceramic bowl?

I'm not sure how, but two bowls, a large glass bowl and a smaller ceramic bowl, got stuck together. Obviously, the ceramic bowl is stuck inside the big glass one. If there any way to unstick them without losing either one?

If there is any space between the bowls (ie, the inner bowl has ridges or something that makes it not totally flush with the outer), drop some cooking oil in the bottom bowl, and fill the space between the bowls with water. Freeze. Once the water is frozen solid, remove the bowls, allow them to thaw, and if you're as lucky as I was, the top one will have been pushed up enough to gently work out.

Did the ice in top bowl for 5minute trick, while the kettle boiled....put bowls in the sink, filled to edge of bottom one with boiling water, waited 2 minutes, gota sharp knife and slid into stuck edge.... perfect, apart they came

Loads of danger here - Boiling Water, Knife, be careful!!!

Also, the air inside these bowls was likely hot at one time. As the air cooled, it increased the vacuum making it very difficult to pull them apart. Try floating the bowls (larger one in the water) in very hot water. As the air in the cavity heats up, the vacuum should become less intense making it easier to slip something between them.
Be careful not to let water get inside the larger bowl (float it, don't submerge it) because this will make the seal better and make it more difficult to separate them.

Reason they stuck together is the two bowls created a suction or vacuum. If u cud get something and try slide in inbetween inorder to create an air gap they should come unstuck or try separate them whilst submerged in water!
