How can I fix my Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 1999?

Can anyone help, my Vectra doesn't idle properly, fluctuating up and down and the engine sometimes cuts out. I've had the car services and put fluid in the petrol to clean out the injectors but I still have the problem.PLEASE HELP!

check all your pipes and hoses for splits, if o.k the problem will almost certainly be your idle control valve. this is mounted on the lower throtle body, with a muliplug fitted to it. sometimes removal strip and a good clean with carb cleaner does the trick. remember to clean the chamber that the valve fits in too. when you strip the valve to clean mark the valve and the valve housing as it can go together two different ways. takes about 40 minutes to do and if successful could save you around £90.00
