my fiat ducato fuel gauge is faulty.Shows empty when plenty in then shoots up to full back down to normal goes off altogether really p"""ing me off.Any suggestions.
its a fiat ducato swb 2.8 51reg.Where is the sensor located anyone.Can I try something myself without removing the tank.

2007 modelpump between front seats

4 pins on pump
2 for pump
2 for level gauge

level gauge pins should read 20ohms to 300ohms
mine had none

back to dealer
they removed pump and found level gauge pcb corroded requiring replacment

the flashing yellow light signifies faulty wiring
turns out mine was wiring inside tank in way of PCB corrosion

have the fuel gauge fault of showing empty when not, and light flashing X250 2008 DUCATO
Sender ok, pump ok, gauge suspect,
Do these have a pcb voltage stabiliser between sender and gauge A-653 or the like and if it checks out not tobe the gauge which is a complete display replacement could it be the ecu? How did you deal with your fault?

There is a module next to the fuse box on dash ,small black box white connector ,pcb within gets dry joints giving faulty or no reading ,solder or get someone to touch up pcb solder joints and probably all will be fine.
