hi driving along the car jumped out of 5th gear and now i have to hold it in with my hand ,but very hard to get it there. any ideas were to start lookin thanks. pls help.
thanks john, came home from work and seen drips and an oil mark on the drive its driping from were the box meets the engine also feels like no clutch now..any more ideas.. carnt find a cable.thanks.

Have a VW agent inspect the gear linkage first - if they are a cable type they are adjustable and are critically set.....you may need another box though at the end of the day.
